A song that came to life after a moving and prayerful vigil to the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle Pennsylvania (2016). "Kill The Indian-Save The Man" is a melodic protest-esque pop rock song from singer/songwriter/producer/engineer Scott Evans. In 1879 this edict from Colonel/General Richard H. Pratt began an incomprehensible atrocity. "Kill The Indian, Save The Man" was the start of the governments attempt to eradicate the native people by systematically removing/kidnapping children from their families and placing them in a former prison barracks to remove the "Indian" in them. At Carlisle and many other locations throughout the USA and Canada it was here that they were robbed of their language, ceremonies, culture, names, identity and at times their lives.
